Dental Checkups

Are Regular Dental Checkups Really Necessary?

Even if your child isn’t experiencing tooth pain, routine dental checkups play an important role in protecting their growing smile. Regular visits allow our board-certified pediatric dentists to monitor development, catch small concerns before they become bigger problems, and provide preventive care that supports lifelong oral health. At St. George Kids Dental, we strive to make every checkup positive, educational, and fun, helping children build confidence at the dentist from an early age.

What Happens During a Dental Checkup?

Applying dental sealants is quick, painless, and typically completed during a routine dental visit. First, the tooth is cleaned and prepared. The sealant material is then carefully applied to the grooves of the tooth and hardened to form a durable protective coating. No drilling or numbing is required, and children can return to their normal activities immediately after their appointment.

Professional Cleaning

Professional Cleaning

Even with excellent brushing habits, plaque and tartar can build up in hard-to-reach areas. Regular cleanings help keep teeth healthy and reduce the risk of cavities and gum irritation.

Preventive Monitoring

Preventive Monitoring

Routine visits help us detect cavities early, monitor the eruption of permanent teeth, assess orthodontic needs, and provide guidance tailored to your child's stage of development.

Building Healthy Habits, One Visit at a Time

Our goal is about more than checking teeth. We want every child to leave our office feeling encouraged, empowered, and excited about caring for their smile.
